A SummerWrite in the Branches Camp
Families facing economic challenges are especially encouraged to register their young readers and writers in tuition-free camps held at five Rochester branch libraries.
Let your creativity and imagination take hold as you discover the author in you! Through creative writing, drawing activities, team-building exercises, and exploration of the library as a resource, campers will tap into their unique talents and express themselves through story, poetry, or illustration. Campers will be the creative directors of a collaborative anthology, choosing to work independently or in small groups. All forms of artistic expression are valid—no prior experience required, just imagination! Together, campers will create something unexpected and wonderful, which will be displayed as part of the library’s Story Walk, and each camper will receive a digital copy of the finished book.
