Do you ever feel the urge to write, but when you open your notebook, you aren’t sure where to start? Luckily, you don’t have to begin alone with a blank page–come play! Together, we’ll experiment with collaborative writing games and creative prompts, such as “exquisite conditionals” inspired by surrealist artists, ekphrastic poems, word collage, and erasure works. We’ll read and discuss poems from contemporary and classic poets, then try our hand at different styles. You’ll leave the week with renewed creative confidence, a variety of tools for self-expression, and a printed zine anthology to take home. Perfect for folks who love creative writing, wordplay, and discovering new ways to express themselves!
