Plot twists, parody, and satire…oh my! Welcome to the wonderful world of fractured fairy tales. Through classic and contemporary tales, participants will explore plot, characterization, and theme, then reimagine familiar stories in surprising new ways. Will you update the setting, change the point of view, add humor, or weave in a modern lesson? Campers will play with wordplay, literary devices, and plot elements while discovering how stories reflect our times, culture, values, and beliefs. Along the way, they’ll learn more about their own perspectives as they give voice to an original fractured fairy tale. The possibilities are endless!
