Curt and Nani are veteran educators with nearly three decades of experience in the Finger Lakes literary and performing arts community. Curt serves as professor of English and Humanities at Finger Lakes Community College, while Nani has devoted her career to writing- and values-based initiatives both locally and nationwide, currently working independently as a writer, designer, and strategist for educational programs serving children with diverse needs across multiple states and communities. Both trained at Bard College’s Institute for Writing and Thinking, where Curt continues as Faculty Associate. They write and perform as Dead Metaphor Cabaret—a project interested in exploring the fertile edges along which poetry and music graze—and bring extensive experience creating and sustaining community programs, facilities, and partnerships.
