Adrian was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and migrated to Brooklyn, New York, as a teenager. After high school, he attended the University of Rochester, where he majored in Political Science and English. After attending law school in Brooklyn, he returned to Rochester and worked in private practice at the Law Offices of Brown & Hutchinson. Adrian is currently General Counsel at the Rochester City School District, where he leads and supervises the Department of Law, including a team of attorneys and administrative staff, and serves as the legal advisor to the district in a variety of areas affecting operating issues. A former member of Writers & Books’ board of directors (2014-2020), he has also previously served on the Monroe County Bar Association Board of Trustees and is a past co-chair of the MCBA Diversity Committee. He is a member of the Rochester Black Bar Association, a past member of their Executive Committee, and is currently an appointed member of the New York State Permanent Commission on Access to Justice.
