A SummerWrite in the Branches Camp
Families facing economic challenges are especially encouraged to register their young readers and writers in tuition-free camps held at five Rochester branch libraries.
Join us for a week-long exploration into the world of puppetry through hands-on making. We will learn all about puppetry, from its function as both an art form and a storytelling tool, to the mechanics of making our own marionettes. We won’t stop at learning how to turn our own characters into puppets—we will also write a show for our creations! In this class, we’ll explore a variety of puppets, such as marionettes, shadow, and muppets, as we learn to create a storyboard, write a play, and put on a performance for our friends and family.
